Nestled in the majestic Himalayas, this trek is a blend of natural beauty, cultural encounters, and serene solitude that beckons adventurers from around the globe.
Located in the Thimphu district of Bhutan, the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek typically spans over 6 to 8 days, covering a distance of approximately 50 to 60 kilometers. The adventure commences from either the quaint village of Genekha or Gynekha, both accessible from the capital city, Thimphu.
The best time to embark on the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek is during the spring and autumn months, from March to May and September to November, respectively. During these times, the weather is generally pleasant, with clear skies and mild temperatures, making it ideal for trekking.
Accommodation during the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek usually consists of camping in tents at designated campsites along the route.
